He went that away!
mini Murder Mansion Mystery #3: He Went That Away!
Once again something happened in the Trubbleton house on the massive estate. Benji and Mad Dog were hot on the heels of the suspect. However, once the suspect ran up the winding stairs to the third floor, they lost him.
"Which way did he go?" Benji asked aloud staring every direction.
Dog turned and pointed to the group of rooms on the right, "This way for sure."
As they walked past Shannon Berkowitz, they stared at the small hallway with four doors.
"Great, which door?" Benji gasped for air.
Shannon cackled with laughter, "Oh, I know."
Benji pleaded with her to answer, but Shannon only stood there, her large belly jiggling as she laughed. Her disdain for Benji was obvious.
"All I will tell you is this.
1. The suspect ran into Room 35 or 38.
2. The suspect ran into Room 37.
3. The suspect did not run into Room 38.
4. The suspect ran into Room 36 or 37.
Only one of those statements is true. If you are worthy of being a private investigator, you'll figure it out."
Benji's jaw dropped, "Shannon-"
Shannon held up her hand, and walked away.
"Great," Dog moan, "I'll just knock on each door."
"No," Benji replied, "She was helpful. The suspect is in Room _____."
(Armchair Detective: Can you finish what she said?)
